ACFO Obeng Dankwa Dwamena was enlisted into Ghana National Fire Service on 1st February, 1989 (Cadet Intake I) and successfully graduated from the Fire Academy and Training School, Accra in February, 1990.

He has attended both local and international courses including Operational Fire Fighters Course, Operational Command Course, Divisional Command Course (all at Fire Academy and Training School, Accra), International Wildfire Management Course and Rapattack Training Program (British Columbia, Canada), International Urban Search and Rescue Operations Course (Civil Defence Academy, Singapore) and Internal Crisis Management Course (Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College – GAFCSC, Accra),.

ACFO Obeng Dankwa Dwamena possesses a Diploma in Statistics (University of Ghana, Legon), a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration (GIMPA, Accra) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Human Resource Development (University of Cape Coast).

He has also held various positions in Ghana National Fire Service such as District Fire Officer (Breman-Essiam), Municipal Fire Officer (Cape Coast), Regional Admin Officer (Central Region), Regional Fire Officer (Ashanti Region), Assistant Director (Admin), Deputy Director (Admin) and Acting Director (Finance and Admin).

He is the current Regional Fire Officer (Western Region), a position he has held since January, 2012.
